Wild Light Shortlisted for Scottish Nature Photography Awards

Monday, 10th December 2018

Wild Light, a stunning panoramic exploration of the Scottish landscape by Craig Aitchison – winner of the inaugural Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year competition – has been shortlisted for the Favourite Scottish Nature Photography Book 2018.

The prize was set up by the prestigious Scottish Nature Photography Awards which celebrate Scotland as a key destination for nature and landscape photographers and acknowledge the excellent photographic work that is undertaken in the region.

Shot entirely using a traditional Hassleblad film camera, Wild Light features eighty panoramic photographs that celebrate the rich natural heritage and incredible geodiversity for which Scotland is internationally renowned.

Commenting on his book’s shortlisting, Aitchison said, 'I'm delighted to hear that Wild Light has been recognised and selected for the final shortlist for the prestigious Favourite Scottish Nature Photography Book Award. It is an honour to be considered among such esteemed company. Good luck to all.'

A public vote is open from today until 31 January 2019, with the winner announced in February 2019. Everyone who places an online vote will be entered into a free prize draw to win the entire shortlist. Click HERE to find out more.
