The Everest Files nominated for 2015 Carnegie Medal

We're thrilled to announce that Matt Dickinson’s YA book, The Everest Files, is amongst the titles nominated for the 2015 Carnegie medal.

CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, has nominated a total of 91 books for the 2015 medal. The judging panel will now meet to discuss the nominations, with the longlist due to be announced on 10 February 2015 and the shortlist on 17 March 2015.

It’s been an exciting times for The Everest Files over the last few months, with more schools signing up to take part in the Everest Reading Challenge and Matt Dickinson being invited to speak at a number of national book fairs and events. The winner of the Carnegie award will be publicly announced on 22 June 2015. The award, founded in 1936 in memory of Scottish-born philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, represents the gold standard in literature for children and young people. Previous winners include Terry Pratchett, Philip Pullman, Sally Gardener and C.S. Lewis.
