Mick Fowler releases bestselling climbing memoir No Easy Way as an audiobook
- Monday 12 August 2019
No Easy Way, Mick Fowler’s bestselling third volume of climbing memoirs, is now available as an audiobook.
Following on from Vertical Pleasures and On Thin Ice, No Easy Way sees Fowler balancing family life and a full-time job in the tax office with annual trips to the greater ranges to attempt mountains most westerners will never have seen, let alone climbed. He recounts a series of technically challenging unclimbed lines on Shiva in India, and Gave Ding and Mugu Chuli in Nepal, with many ascents winning prestigious Piolets d’Or. This is a charming account of how a pioneering mountaineer’s ambition allowed him to overcome challenges both at home and abroad, including his battle with cancer.
A recent feature in the Sunday Times confirms Fowler’s status as one of Britain’s leading mountaineers, stating that he is ‘revered among his peers for his purist approach to mountaineering, all done while juggling a full-time job at HM Revenue & Customs.’ To read more about Fowler and Paul Ramsden’s first ascent of Kishtwar Kailash, as well as his current Himalayan expedition, click here.
No Easy Way is now available to purchase as an audiobook from Audible, Amazon and iTunes.
