The Lakes lectures aim to present a diverse set of climbing experiences, providing you with mountain inspiration throughout the year.
Boardman and Tasker winner Simon Yates kicks off with a lecture expanding on his book The Wild WithinDoug Scott, author of numerous titles, including Himalyan Climber, will join John Porter, founder of SteepEdge, to present their lecture on the 'game' of high altitude climbing. The series will wrap up with the irrepressible and incredible Chris Bonington, who we have had the pleasure of working with whilst wearing a variety of our hats!
There will also be two fundraising dinners to accompany the lectures.
On Thursday 16th May there will be a pre event three-course Nepalese themed dinner at 6 p.m. Five pounds from each ticket sold will be donated to Community Action Nepal (CAN). Tickets are £25 including lecture ticket. Doug Scott will host an auction at the end of the lecture and all proceeds will go to CAN and the Mountain Heritage Trust
To close the mountain lecture series on Thursday 14th November, a pre event three-course mountaineering themed dinner will be available for £25 including lecture ticket.
