Legendary climber Jerry Moffatt has released his award-winning autobiography, Revelations, as an audiobook.
Revelations is the awe-inspiring story of Jerry Moffatt's meteoric rise to stardom. Top sport climber, brilliant competitor and a pioneer in the game of bouldering, Moffatt's story is that of climbing itself in the last decades. This gripping autobiography, co-written with award-winning climbing writer Niall Grimes, delves into Moffatt’s incredible achievements – his second ascent of Strawberries at just age seventeen, his defining first ascent of one of Britain’s hardest routes, Revelations, and his lightning-quick repeats of some of the world's toughest climbs including Equinox in the US, Super Imjin in Japan and Bidule in France.
Originally published in hardback in 2009, Revelations has gone on to become a classic in mountaineering literature and has been recognised internationally, winning the Grand Prize at the Banff Mountain Book Festival and being shortlisted for the prestigious Boardman Tasker Prize in 2009.
Commenting on the release of the audiobook, Moffatt said, ‘It’s fantastic for me that people are still so enthusiastic and still enjoying Revelations. This year marks ten years since the publication – the perfect time to release the book in audiobook format. It was such fun working with Niall sitting in the kitchen going over the old climbing stories. Revelations is about fulfilling your dreams and pushing yourself to be the very best that you can be. I’m so happy I made the effort to get the work done and will be forever grateful to Niall for putting the work in and to Vertebrate Publishing for getting the concept going.’
Revelations is now available to purchase as an audiobook from Audible, Amazon and iTunes.
