Author of Day Walks on the High Weald Deirdre Huston will again be leading a walk in this unique area for the second year of the High Weald Walking Festival. The walk will be particularly suited to those aged ten and above who enjoy writing and want to get outdoors. Deirdre will lead you round the stunning Quarry Farm. You’ll meander through orchards, wander along river banks admire the bridge Turner painted, and glimpse the impressive ramparts of a mediaeval castle. Creative triggers will encourage you to write and be playful with language. The farm has a wild feel and some paths are unsurfaced. A notebook and a pen are essential. You may wish to bring something to sit on, water and a snack.
Accompanied children only. Dogs strictly on leads.
The High Weald Festival 2018 was a huge success with over 400 attendees and this year's offering should be equally diverse.
