Ruth Eastham is an award-winning author from Preston. She has lived and worked in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and Italy, teaching creative writing to all ages. Her debut novel, The Memory Cage, was a finalist in the Waterstone's Book Prize, shortlisted for the UKLA Book Awards and nominated for the Carnegie Medal. Her second book, The Messenger Bird won the 2013 Oldham Brilliant Book Award. In her 2014 novel Arrowhead, a Viking curse tightens around a remote Norwegian town. Her latest novel, The Jaguar Trials, is set in the Amazonian rainforest, on a quest to find the fabled El Dorado.
Matt Dickinson is an award-winning climber and filmmaker with a passion for adventure. His film-making career has taken him to Antarctica, Africa and the Himalaya, often in the company of the world’s leading climbers and expeditioners. Recently Matt has started writing fiction for teenage readers. He is author of the thriller series Mortal Chaos, Deep Oblivion and Speed Freaks. The Everest Files and North Face, are popular stories of his climbing adventures.
