Otley-based Heather Dawe has a passion for cycling and running in wild places. She is an endurance athlete who in has won the Helvellyn Triathlon, has twice finished first lady in the Fred Whitton Challenge and in 2008 won the renowned Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross. As a runner she has won at Elite level in many mountain marathons including the LAMM and the OMM and has completed the Bob Graham Round in under 22 hours.
Heather is also an award-winning writer (Banff Mountain Literature Award 2019) who will be telling stories of her racing and other adventures in the mountains, and of how they now inspire her painting and writing. Along with these stories she will be reading short excerpts from her books A Cycling Year, High Inspiration and Adventures in Mind.
