Have you ever been to the Lake District?
It’s a magical place.
It has many quiet corners, and in these corners, behind the mountains and hidden in the trees, lie many untold secrets …
Trapped in Moonshine Mine tells tales of myth and mystery in the mountains, where terrible creatures prowl, dogs and ghosts can be heroes, and boys and girls get lost in their adventures.
Chris Rodgers was born in Preston in 1950, and spent most of his working life in local government.
Chris's writing is inspired by his love of walking on the fells of the Lake District and also farther afield in Wales and Scotland. His storytelling follows a long tradition of picking up on historical themes and ancient places in the Lake District, and he has written numerous articles including a feature on climbing Scafell via Lord's Rake, for Trail Magazine.
Chris passed away in December 2020 after a seven-year battle with prostate cancer. He died happy in the knowledge that his stories will continue to inspire the next generation to enjoy the outdoors and embark on adventures in the Lake District.
All sales of the book will go to the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team.
