Cotswolds Mountain Biking

We're beginning to come around to the idea that summer is over. Finished, done for, lying belly-up in a pile of yellow leaves. But there's no need to feel down – October promises a fresh blast of autumnal air and plenty of outdoor potential.

To give you some inspiration we've selected a route from our Book of the Month, Cotswolds Mountain Biking: 20 classic rides, and made it available for you to download as a free PDF. The Cotswold Hills are classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretching across the counties of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire, and extending into parts of Wiltshire, Somerset, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. Cotswolds Mountain Biking peels the lid on the region's excellent and varied mountain bike riding.

The route that we've selected is the Charlbury Classic and offers 'a strangely satisfying ride ... through some lovely countryside. Get into a nice pedally rhythm, fill your bloodstream with endorphins and ride off into the sunset.'
