Photos: Nick Bullock Book Launch
- Thursday 6 September 2012
Nick Bullock's debut book Echoes was launched on Tuesday night at Outside in Hathersage. Nick made the journey over from North Wales with Ray Wood and Graham Desroy, and managed to get some climbing in at a sunny but breezy Stanage in the afternoon, before treating a packed room to a lively (!) talk about his prison and climbing lives, and his book.
As always, Outside put on a great evening and the audience was also treated to the premiere of the short film Echoes. Produced by Polished Project on behalf of Mountain Equipment, the film is a window into Nick's former and current lives, and what motivates him to live and climb.
Here's a selection of photographs from the evening (all photos copyright John Coefield/Vertebrate Publishing 2012):

Nick's editor on Echoes, Ed Douglas, introduced Nick to the audience.
Nick read several short passages from Echoes.
And showed plenty of photos from his many expeditions.
The cover for the probably-never-to-be-published autobiography of Graham Desroy!
Nick with climbing legend Paul Pritchard. Paul contributed the foreword to Echoes, and by coincidence happened to be over in the UK from his home in Tasmania for a couple of weeks. It was great that he could make the launch.
