Delivery & Returns
Delivery is included in the book price for all orders in the UK!
Online orders received through the Vertebrate Publishing website are dispatched from our office in Sheffield, UK. Orders received before 3 p.m. are dispatched the same day, orders received after 3 p.m. are dispatched the following business day. If we are temporarily out of stock of a title we will advise by email.
Delivery in the UK
UK orders up to 2.5 kilograms are sent Royal Mail Second Class and should arrive within two to three working days. Larger items and higher value items, such as Peak Rock, are sent with a courier and will require a signature upon delivery.
Smaller overseas orders are sent by Royal Mail. Larger orders are sent by courier. Deliveries can take between a few days and a couple of weeks to arrive, depending on the delivery location.
Postage costs are dependent on order weight (book/s weight plus packing materials) and are calculated automatically upon checkout, before payment is taken. As of 4 November 2019 our postage charges are as follows (for larger or trade orders, please contact us for pricing):

Payment is made safely and securely via PayPal. We use PayPal for card transactions as PayPal delivers one of the most secure payment platforms in the world. See their website for details on how you are protected. A PayPal account is not required when checking out with PayPal – it is possible to pay by credit card or debit card without logging in to PayPal or creating an account.
If you are buying from outside the UK, please note that all transactions are processed in Pounds Sterling.
We will happily refund or exchange any item that is returned to us in an unused, as new condition.
If you want to make a return, contact us with your details. Once we've received the item(s), we will credit your account.
If the item is faulty or damaged or we have sent the incorrect item we will refund postage. If you're returning something because it's not suitable, you'll need to pay the postage costs to return it to us.
We process most returns the day they arrive with us, and certainly within within seven working days.
Goods must be returned to us within 21 days.
