Deirdre Huston, author of our popular cycling guides Cycling in Sussex and Cycling Days Out South East England, has just launched her own website showcasing her writing and photography skills and portfolio. 

Sussex local Deirdre's work is inspired by her love of the outdoors and researching guidebooks gives her the perfect excuse to indulge her love of cycling, walking, writing and photography. A qualified teacher and mother of three, born and raised in Sussex, she enjoys exploring favourite and familiar places as much as seeking out new locations which are tucked away, yet to be discovered. Deirdre runs community-based Young Writers Workshops in mid-Sussex and is author of the children's story Jake, Zee-Bee and the Crystal Quest. 

The third book Deirdre has written for VP – Day Walks on the South Downs – will be published in early June and is available to pre-order now.
