Last night saw the launch of Rock Athlete, our autobiography of legendary rock climber Ron Fawcett, at the Outside Cafe in Hathersage. A capacity crowd packed into the cafe and were treated to co-author Ed Douglas chatting to Ron about his life and climbs, interspersed with Ron reading excerpts from the book.

The evening featured tales of growing up in the Yorkshire Dales, learning to climb on the local crags, travelling to the likes of Yosemite and climbing with some of the great climbers of the past, including Pete Livesey and John Long. A personal and intimate event, topped off with a great buffet by the guys at Outside.
